The City of Cottonwood Shores Human Resources Department is the functional unit of the city responsible for providing all departments with the labor force necessary to provide essential services to our citizens. In addition to standard recruitment, selection, and placement of employees, a wide range of other employee-related issues such as salary administration, unemployment claims and appeals, employee benefits, retirement, insurance and personnel record keeping occur through this office. Additionally, the Human Resources Department monitors compliance with many legal statutes such as Police, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family & Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Title VII anti-discrimination statues; and also handles Administrative Reviews in accordance with the Texas Transportation Code, Chapter 707.
