Eva Alpar

Eva Alpar as Ino Fuchs Varnhagen:  Alpar is a San Antonio singer and professor of voice and opera at St. Mary’s University. She received her Bachelor of arts in vocal performance from St. Mary’s University in 2020 and her Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy in 2022 from UTSA. Alpar has always enjoyed singing and has dreamed of becoming an opera singer since she was very young. That dream has since changed a bit, with her focus now being directed to teaching. From being in church choirs to performing at school productions, she has filled her life with music. She has been in shows such as Cendrillon (Maguelonne), Little Women (Jo March), The Old Maid and the Thief (Miss. March), A Picnic Cantata (Lady 1), El Grumete (Luisa), and Crimes of the Heart (Meg Magrath). In the spring of 2022, she sang the role of The Queen of the Night for the UTSA Lyric Theater’s production of The Magic Flute by Mozart. Her most recent performance was in the spring of 2023 in the St. Mary’s University production of Young Frankenstein. She was the music director and also played the role of Inga.

While Alpar might not be actively performing on stage, it is surely one of her favorite things in life and is honored to have been asked to perform for the first time in this year’s Legends of the Falls! She is thankful to Brigid Cooley for introducing her to this lovely production and is excited to work with a group of fabulous story tellers!
