Solar Eclipse 2024

On Monday, April 8, 2024, there will be a total solar eclipse, and Cottonwood Shores, TX, is in the direct path of totality. In a solar eclipse, the moon gets between the Sun and Earth. In a total solar eclipse, people in the path of totality see the Sun’s bright disk totally covered by the moon for a short time. Totality begins approximately 1:35 p.m. and last about 4 minutes 23.5 seconds.
